What is Empax Studio? Empax Studio, formerly known as Empact Studio, is an experience design and engineering studio based in Mumbai, India. We bring together architecture, creativity, storytelling, and technology to design and build experiences. Guided by “Simplicity. Engineered from complexity.”, we bring clarity to complex ideas and deliver the project from concept to salutation.

Every project brings its own creative, spatial, and technical challenges. We approach these with clarity and break down the complexity into simple goals and thoughtful design, making complex requirements easier to manage and the resulting experience natural and intuitive for the people moving through it.
What different disciplines shape an experience at Empax Studio? Every experience involves more than one way of thinking. At Empax Studio, five crafts shape the direction of how we work: Storytelling, concept, creativity & strategy develop the idea and its purpose; Architecture & Space shapes the physical environment; User Experience considers how people move and interact; Technology & AV brings media, sound, lighting and systems into the space; and Production & Delivery brings it all together in the final build.

At Empax Studio, architects, experience designers, visual and creative minds, concept creators, content designers, and technical specialists work together from the beginning. Immersive zones are dedicated spaces where the user is immersed in the environment, which envelopes them in a space that triggers sensory amazement and enhances storytelling to the next degree. We use display technologies like projections, LED screens, complex server connectivity, and audio (spatial and non-spatial) to work together to surround visitors in a unified experience that creates wonderment and enhances storytelling and the user journey. The technology integration is brought to life by our creative team, like content creators, storytellers, and visual communicators.

Empax Studio designs and engineers these experiential environments end-to-end, layering in interactivity and real-time responses so movement, touch, presence, and sound can trigger changes within the space. What are experiential interiors according to Empax Studio? Experiential interiors, according to Empax Studio, consist of multi-sensory and creative engagements to convert interiors into a spatial storytelling experience that creates a human-centric emotional outcome. Examples of these are digital art & sculptures, large media walls, kinetic installations, projection mapping, etc. Such experiences can be integrated into office buildings - lobbies and receptions, hotel lobbies, retail environments like malls and department stores, restaurants, and other spaces. They can also be incorporated into biophilic and biomimicry architectural designs.
